I got my bike l's about 2-3 months ago. Hired a cbr250rr from clipstone (who suck dik, but we won't go into that, pm if ya want the low down on why) and i can honestly say the 'bike bug' has bitten me i'm about to buy a new car (vl turbo ) so that will leave me close to broke so i think before i get a car i might get a loan for 2 bikes, because i rode my mates 2002 cr125 and dirtbikes ***in rule too! so i'm considering getting either a kx125 or a yz125 - both will be prolly no less than 2002 model because i want one that is close to new. anyone here know for a fact which one is quicker? i'm also going to get for the road either a cbr250rr or a gsx-r250, prolly the honda but i wouldn't mind the extra go of the suzuki as i can see myself getting sick of the power of the cbr real quick this thread is cool! keep the replies coming people! ps - jared, don't bother posting here, your anti-bike comments aren't wanted! lol Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I've got a cbr250rr and almost like riding it more than driving the vlt. In summer u can't beat it. looking at upgrading at the moment to a gsxr 600 so if anyone in sydney is after a cbr 250 rr! I wouldn't mind getting back into dirt bikes either

I've got a 99' KDX200 and a CT110, I had 2 RMX250's and a KTM125EXC not so long ago as well. I love riding and my mates and I go as much as possible. I'm saving up for a Yamaha TRX850 as a Sunday bike. Love that Twin cylinder sound!!! Don't ask me about injuries tho.......

I think its fair to say that being on the back of nearly any motorbike thats getting driven hard is scary enough Even though I've been on the back of one so many times grabbing a lift with my dad, and almost been hit countless times.. I still want one. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

ive got a rgv250 (avatar), nothing is more fun than a two stroke. i highly recommend you cbr owners invest in a penis as you are a bunch of women no honestly i was looking at cbr250's but i had sense slapped into me and was told to look at rgv's. theres nothing like the smell of two stroke in the morning oh yeah and i dont have a license yet Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

yeh but the 2 strokes have to be rebuilt quite often dont they ? i dont particularly like the sound of 2 strokes 11second bike? maybe im just stupid but that sounds pretty slow for a bike? my mates cbr250rr does like 0-100 in say 4-4.5 seconds so i wouldve imagined itd run a 10 or 11 or something.. and 850 would be even quicker yeh?

The other day i was on the back of a ZX9R and the ***cer did a massive mono, i was holding on for grim life! He says " Oh **** man i forgot you where there!" I was like nah that was awesome! 666god-The YZ will be quicker AneemA- CBR's will be quick to 100 but after that your grandma could over take you in her trolly! dr00- I wanted a 2 stroke but couldnt be bothered with the rebuilds cause i ride my bike bloody hard

nah cbr250's aren't fast down a track. they top out at 180k's if your lucky, and from 160 they don't climb real fast. They do sound Fcuking awsome revving to 19,000 RPM though!!!! edit: i dragged a C32 AMG mercedes from a standstill to about 130. We were DEAD even and that car's supposed to hit 100 in 5.4sec.

cbr's do like a mid 14. 11 sec is very good for a bike, just coz it gets to 100 quickly doesnt mean a quick quarter. the r1's and gsxr's do 10 secs and hayabusa's can do 9's with a good rider. trust me a cbr250 wouldnt come close, they are slowwww.

2 strokes are made to be ridden hard, that is their purpose on this planet. they need rebuilds probably every 20-25000kms and it only costs about 4-500 for the bits to do it yourself or around 800 ride in ride out. they sound beautiful and go even better Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
