hows it goin, yeah well in this weeks actual paper trading post i was lookin at new wheels n tyre packages from dealers in there n when it says 17x7 wheels with tyres (not "new tyres") does this mean they're actually dodgy old tyres sold on them or decent tyres? coz half of them say "with new tyres" so just curious about that package. thanks
i guess they'd be new ones man if the rims ur buying are new.....but if theyr'e really cheap look into it....they were prob saving money on the ad by not including the word "new"
hey, thanks heaps i never thought about them saving money..but if they're re-treads im not interested. wheels r called "Scorch - Shadow Chrome 17x7" (if u read trading post). i'll ring them anyway, just curious tonight thats all.
cheers everyone 4 that.
If the wheels are new the tyres will be new,
they won't be flash though, just crap tyres made in Taiwan or somewhere like that, they will either be as hard as plastic and wont grip the road well, or be soft as **** and wear out in a week anyway
I always like to make sure the wheels are stamped to show that they are approved by Australian standards too.
You dont want cheap wheels falling apart on you when your driving.
Is it illegal for them not to meet Aus standards, I think it is?

Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
thanks heaps Mick mate, i was wondering about what standards they have 2 meet aswell so yeah would be nice 2 know.
they r new wheels so im gathering just pov tyres but hopefully decent.
i'll checkout that stamp u refered to aswell
That would be dodgy as,
I guess just look at them (tyres) before any commitment is made to purchase them.
I personally would try to talk the rep/service dealer into removing the crap tyres and maybe fitting a good quality tyre for maybe an extra couple of hundred bucks or so.
Might be able to save a bit of money that way.
Cheap tyres aren't only low quality, but ive found most of them in the wet are very dangerous loosing grip easily, and thats something you don't want happening.
Tyres are the most important part of the car, yet so many people try to save dollars on them.
They are the only contact between the car and the road so why skimp.
Mick
Good advice, yeah thats very true about it bein dodgy if this is the case, so yeah im gonna check it out genuinly for sure b4 u get em.
gettin them 2 exchange rubber for somethin decent is definately the option if needed.
thanks heaps for that
ttf always advertise there rim packages and when it says include tyres the tyres a retreads ive gone in to ask them cause i thought damm thats a good deal. Then i ask how much for real tyres its like and extra 500 so bucks

are in almost new condition, fully spin tested in spoke pattern.
