i bought cross drilled and slotted for my car i think they were around 150 for the pair... pretty basic to install... remove the whole caliper bracket and and they should just pull straight off.. its worth investing in some new pads as well something like bendix metal kings... don't buy bendix ultimates!! hope this helps

ok well for theses types of rotors it really depends where you go to get them.... but yes they are good brakes as i will be getting some shortly...
as for pads there is afew good ones to buy like bindex advanced which are pretty good or protex p as its better to try and match up good brake pads with theses types of rotors... hope this helps you out...

Yeah matey, its easy as! Like osk said, pull your wheels off, and if you look on the strut side of the caliper, you'll find that its got 2 19mm bolts holding it on. Unbolt them, and then lift the caliper off. Get a coat hanger or something, and bend it so you can hand the caliper up somewhere while you change the discs over. Put 2 wheel nuts back on the studs, and start pulling on the disc. If it doesnt want to come, get a rubber mallet, and spin the disc, but at the same time, bash it with the hammer till it comes off....they can come off really quick and thats why you put the wheel nuts back on.
Slap your new discs on, bolt up the caliper & wheels, and away you go!

simple to take off as said above , but they will be at least 120 each , so ur looking at at least 300 , for the pair and a set of brakepads.
also its a wise idea to get them machined , not because they have pad score marks but because in most cases new disks are or can be out of balance.
have fun.

I've had them on the front of my car for 3 years now and they work brilliantly.Bendix ultimates work well but they wear the discs very quickly.Back then I paid $190 each! ffffffaaaaaaarrrrrrrkkkkkkkkkk me.

Which brakes plus store did you goto? have you tryed ABS?? have you even rung up DBA themself and see how much you can get the rotors for?? and then goto a brakes place and see how much it will cost to get them fitted?? the only reason why i am saying this is coz what i hear is that getting them from DBA and then getting a place to fit them it cost less then buying it thru a brakes place like brakes plus... but dont qoute me on it i am not 100% sure i guess its who you know not what you know when it comes to stuff like this
They are the silver ones i think as i think the gold ones are slotted and cross drilled...

11-07-03, 09:41 GMT+10#13 ...you can get your standard rotors slotted by a machine shop if you want to do it cheap. I'm getting my VX commodore rotors slotted by a machinist for $40 a pair

11-07-03, 18:53 GMT+10#15 Brake fade is caused by bad brake fluid half the time. If you're getting brake fade, do a brake fluid flush

12-07-03, 13:56 GMT+10#16 invest in some new wheel bearings while ur at it. dont just re-use the old ones, there only bout $60 bucks!

12-07-03, 22:34 GMT+10#17 Yes brake fade can be caused by brake fluid problems ,but half the time it is the heat generated by the brakes themselves that kills the fluid.Thats one reason why they crossdrill brake rotors. The slots help stop "glazing" the pads.

13-07-03, 17:23 GMT+10#18 Any thoughts something I've seen a couple of times on cross-drilling being undesirable on street cars? Something to do with possible fatigue and getting blocked up with brake dust?

13-07-03, 18:10 GMT+10#19 nah not really undesirable on a street car cause the brakes will probably never get hot enough to do damage.
The thing with cross drilled rotors is that under extreame conditions they can fracture and brake because the cross drilling creates hot and cold spots in the rotor, thats while you will notice that V8 touring car have all gone back to slotted only rotors. But on your average street car the brakes are probably never going to get hot enough for this to happen.

14-07-03, 13:39 GMT+10#20 i wont use crossdrilled brakes simply because the vast majority oF racing organisation regulations do not allow their use. If they cant be used on the track then I dont want them on my car.
