Gents, Is it very had to replace the driven gear on the speedo cable because mine is the wrong size (too many teeth) and is giving a wrong speedo reading. Is it just a matter of pulling it out from the box and replacing the gear with a different one? Cheers, JR.

i think so because i used to have a vk 3.08:1 diff in my vl (was there when i bought it) and i wanted to change to a 3.45 and my mechanic just swapped the speedo gear over and the speedo was correct again bloody expensive bit of gear though lol, cost me something like $120-150 cant remember but that was when i was young and foolish and got a mechanic to do everything, so you can probably pick one up much cheaper
