Ok, well , a few mates decided they'd pull apart my dash to install my CD player, and they did it, but one thing, my light on the air conditioner doesn't work... Now this is a Calais (VL of course) and all the electrics on the right side (Mirrors, cruise) don't work either... I've checked fuses they seem find, anyone have any ideas, I'm too cheap to pay an auto elec to do it, as he could most probably gib me! Also, How the hell do you get out that light globe on the gear stick thing? Its a little *******!

Hmmm enough bitching, it doesnt solve anything. Some obvious points, make sure that everything is plugged in well. Ive got a bad earth wtith the cig lighter for some reason, everytime i plug something in or turn it on, i blow the fuse. Not good because the heater fan runs of the same fuse, but i dont touch it and its perfectly fine! Check to see if you have a bad earth somewehre. buy a ****smith multimeter for 20 bucks, and start poking around to find voltages. if al the connectors are dead, then you definately got a bad earth. aslo take as much as your dash out in the affected areas, plug in the switches and see if you can find where the problem is. do you have any dash lights at all? as for the mirrors and cruise, ide be checking the loom for those items. Since you cant 'see' or 'hear' electricity, you got to play around and stab in the dark till you come to a result or answere. Get a multimeter otherwise your wasting your time, unless its a simple plug that hasnt been connected properly. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
