I am about to get a jatco built up for my vlt and the builder say's to be safe, when racing don't use overdrive so I'm trying to figure out what diff ration to use so that i can pass the 1/4mile in 3rd gear. I am hoping for a high 11sec pass so what MPH would that equate to. Thanks for your help

A rough estimate, if you and your car weigh 3212lbs or 1460 kgs, you'll need 380 engine horsepower to run an 11.8 at 114mph. As I said it's a rough estimate. BUt to run 11's you're doing 110 plus mph hope this helps cheerz morepsi

3.9 gears would be perfect for the strip in a vl. 220+rwkw will get you a high 11. Depends who's dyno too. Expect 113-114mph for a 11.9. Overdrive is only for cruising not loading up.
