OK GUYS THIS IS THE REAL STORY ABOUT THE GOLD COAST BUST I posted on another forums so ignore the part where i have a go at ppl about what was said in the other topic its no referring to u guys. Well after reading all the pages of the BWCP BLOCKED thread ive come up with a solution for everyone. Firstly - The BWCP was blocked off on the weekend due to one main factor THE DI(KHEAD FACtOR at the BWCP. Secondly if u got defected u have no one to blame but yourself. The cops dont want us out of the BWCP that is a fact.The operation down at the bwcp and shell mudgy and m1 was a result of months and yrs of ppl doing the wrong thing.When i set up the BWCP yrs ago it was the cops who helped us get things rolling.It was the cops who attened the meeting at the BWCP and told everyone that u can come down to the BWCP and hang out and we wont hassle u if everyone abides by the rules.But the minute the rules are broken or u come out of the BWCP onto the street its open slather. A true story this i think it was the first or 2nd weekend of everyone hanging out at the bwcp.We BWCC guys and girls were taking everything on our shoulders with respect to the bwcp.We were running from one end of the car park to the other having a go at guys doing burnouts.I then got a phone call from amate who told me he had just heard on the scanner that the cops are on the way down to the BWCP because there were burnouts being done.No sooner had that came over the radio had another voice belonging to GOLD COAST TRAFFIC BRANCH BOSS ERROL DELLITTE come over saying "NO POLICE CARS ARE TO ATTEND THE BWCP THE GUYS DOWN THERE HAVE IT UNDER CONTROL." AND THATS WHATHAPPENED NO POLICE TURNED UP. We had meetings with the police,council,media and residents once a month just after the bwcp was set up to discuss things.And yes the police were in our corner against every negative that was brought up about the bwcp by a certain councillor.And up until the weekend the police had kept their promise but they couldnt continue to see the BWCP drop to what it has become today any longer. Which is a place for car enthusiasts WHICH HAS been over run with hoons,underage drinkers who cant get into night clubs,young kids who have nothing else to do on the gold coast weekend nights and the wankers who thinks its kool to impress his mates and all the young idiots by pulling a single wheel skid in or at the entrance of the BWCP. Thats is where the problem lies and that is why the bwcp was closed in on the weekend and defect notices hand out. Now there is no one else to blame for the defect notices on ur own car other than 1) the wanker who pulled skids down the bwcp over the last 3.5 yrs and invited the cops to come down and book every single one of u and 2) yourself for not having ur car fully roadworthy. Its not the cops who own ur car,its not the cops who made ur car illegal.If ur car is illegal or has a defect fix the thing.If u got a defect ticket on the weekend u know what the best thing u can do is.Fix the defect before next weekend and come back out next weekend with ur car fixed and legal.That way if the cops see u out and see that uve made an effort to fix the defect u had the week before they will more than likely leave u alone.I should know in my 14yrs of cruising/driving ive lost my lic 8 times,had over 60 odd tickets ranging from minor to major defects,speeding,unlic driving,getting a NSW lic to avoid not being allowed to drive in qld while my qld lic was suspended etc etc I wish sometimes i was 17 again there is no way in hell i would do the stupid things i did over the yrs and cop all the tickets again.Its not something im proud of and i sure to hell wish i had the $15000+ ive handed over in fines in my bank.But hey u learn from ur mistakes we are all young, dumb and full of cum once.I am now a current holder of a qld open lic and have a full 12 points something i havent has since back in 1990.Ive had 2 tickets in the last 4 yrs and i am not planning on getting any in the near future especially when my calais comes on the road this weekend after spending close to $20000 on it. Ive made sure and am double checking this week to make sure the car is 100% legal.Ive been to DOT a couple of times getting answers from a guy who took one of my cars of the raod a number of yrs ago for defects.And he is more than willing to answer any questions i throw at him.He still even jokes around about me doing burnouts and the night my car was taken of the road by not only him but by 2 other inspectors all check the car out the front of the casino.Tilt tray that night it was or atleast till i got to the back hwy then i told the towie to unload it and i drove the rest of the way in a pissed of manner. Anyway enough of this is my life In summary The cops DONT want us out of the bwcp. Its up to everyone if u see some wanker doing the wrong thing down the BWCP dont just sit back and wait for someone else to do something about it go and tellt he wanker off u will be suprised how many ppl will back u up. If u have a defect its not the cops fault ur car is defective its urs.Fix the defect and come out cruising again the following weekend with ur car legal. Dont be mislead by what u here on the grapevine about the BWCP and it being closed down.Its not and the reason being on the gold coast u have many divisions of council covering every suburb.There is only one councillor that wants the car park shut down and thats because it is in her area.She was out voted last yr i think it was 14 - 1 votes in a council vote.The council and councillors would rather all the car ppl in one car park then have them all over the coast causing havoc and therefore all the councillors getting complaints from residents in there divisions after a weekend first thing monday morning. The bulletin editoral made a good comment in today paper about bringing back something like OPERATION DRAG and that maybe the council should look into ways of getting soemthing up and going again like that to help solve the problem. So enjoy cruising in ur car,make sure ur car is legal ,if ur unsure go and ask the guys at the DOT for advice something that they are very willing to do or even the cops. Also learn about the laws im sick and tired of reading crap on the forums about ppl writing crap they have no idea about. Time for bed seeing that the first time i did this it got wiped so this is the 2nd time ive typed this out and i hope some good can get thru to some ppl. The issues about the BWCP is not only coming from me, but the police as i recieved a phone call last night from one of my mates telling me exactly what i have written above. Just remember the cops get paid the same whether or not they write out 1 ticket a night or 1000.Its up to u if u get a ticket not them. happy cruising and hopefully see yas all out next weekend in OVL666

the calais is up and running but im not bringing it out this weekend im going to give it another week just to make sure of a few things on the car are 100% legal. That is exactly how it is, I am one who goes there quite regurlary and am pissed of with all the young arsewholes who dont hav a clue as to what there doing there with there magnas and 120ys with chrome hub caps and milo tins at the end of there straw exhuasts. There is a problem there but a majority of the wankers doing these burnouts and whatever else is are the ones who hav cars you wouldnt even look at. These people are also the ones who bring down there little 12year old girlfriends and start fights when the little ****s look at a cars that are f@#ken awsome. I believe they are doing the right thing but i dont think it is fair that every body has to pay. But as you said if your car is illegal then you shouldnt have anything to worry about.

geez that sucks bout bwcp going downhill because of idiots! i hadn't been there for ages for that reason, i have met alot of awesome ppl who share a love for awesome cars (vl's in particular) and it is a shame if morons wanna wreck it for ppl who enjoy meeting up and having a chat there. oh well hopefully this crack down discourages the morons away so the ppl that wanna follow the rules can do so and enjoy the smick cars that do show up there! all the best boys and girls :P

I've often considered bring up the toipic of sercurity on the site, but never have. I would have no problem paying $2 a car to get in and have security on the site - even cops if it is possible to 'hire' them. What's everyone thoughts on that? Would be a lot of problems working it out, but i think that the end result would be worth it. I'd be willing to put up my hand to help organise it.
