I've scared a couple of mates with my overtaking adventures... Nearly got T-boned when I ran a red right turn, but didnt really worry until I was doing about 110 in a 80 zone and saw the blue lights up ahead of me...slowed down quick and was lucky enough that it was only a breatho....hot cop chick carrying it out too 8)

was stuck behind a car doing 40kph in a 100 zone in my stock VLT. Once the road ahead was clear I gunned it and the auto dropped back to first and sent me sideways. I was overtaking this car at about 70kph ..... SIDEWAYS and ended up going off the road still sideways and into a small ditch. I should have known with the roads a bit wet. Must have been funny to see though.

was crusing with a mate following in a VH commodore 308 bout a year ago , when he decided to floor it and take of around me .. bout 4 seconds later he hit a telegraph pole (cops calculated him goin 160, and it was a 60 zone) .. car flipped lengthways twice and side ways once and landed on the side .. took down 5 telegraph poles and destroyed a bus shed .. i **** myself and had to pull em outta the car , one with a broken leg and the passenger got scalped amongst other things ... not very nice at all ... both made a full recovery though =jb

When I was 17 and in my first VL 5speed I hit a corner in a 60 zone at around 140-160 on the wrong side of the track, saw a car down the road a bit further so i decided to come back to my side if the road earlier than i should have and just touched a bit of gravel with the left side tyres, then she was in a big slide, I managed to somehow correct it into the next corner and onto the straight and i thought i had it under control, then WHACK, WHIP............ a big 360 on tar, i finally managed to pull her up eventually and i was dumbfounded on how i hit nothing. There was a guy coming the other way who **** himself and pulled up too, so i got out to apologise to him, but he was drunk and didnt worry too much All the neighbours were calling me heaps of names, i decided it would be better to shut my mouth and move on, I drove very sensible for about a day.....

yeh i tried to take a corner in my corolla at about 90 (taking this corner at 60 is an experience) and i clipped the reflector things on the road lost grip and the car just slid everywhere then gripped and threw me and my mate all over the shop.. spotted the solid metal guards coming towards me quickly.. somehow stopped her before she hit and sat there shaking for a few seconds before moving on

Had only owned the Calais for a couple of months and had a mate in the car with me, comming onto the highway, not a car in sight and a nice long straight. As you have all probably done before yourselfs, I flattend my foot to the floor. I wasn't disapointed with how quick the car took off. Me and my mate (smiles from ear to ear) where crusing along at a steady 190kph. Backed off the right foot and slowly started to slow down, when I spotted a white blur as we passed a bank on the left hand side. My heart stopped as I looked into my rear-view mirror. As I looked into my mirror my mate said, "oh f**k". Soon after he did, I yelled out the same words plus the addition of one more word "COPS". 8O I planted my foot again and started to speed off when I noticed my mate scared ****les next to me telling me to slow down. Anyway, I pulled over and took it on the chin. :roll he caught me at 180kph) $500 poorer and 3 months later I was back in the Calais. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

theres many many times i have crossed lanes but the one that sticks in my head was when i was racing a gtr on the street and arse end kicked out at about 150klm nearly taking out the gtr, over revving the engine and blowing it up,great fun though but the repair bill didnt impress me after i bent 2 rods and pistons were throw away.

I came around a roundabout and a guy didn't stop when i was in a spot where if i braked he would have T boned me. The guy was a P-plater in an old VK and wanted to show off in frount of his mates so i planted it and got it sideways down the street. Not much compared to you guys but imagine the screaming face of my mum in the car and the bewidled looks of people around me wondering what that L plater was doing Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

VL turbos will never grip in the wet, ALWAYS keep that in mind. I was driving through my uni car park (La Trobe) in my other VLT exec 5spd. There is something that somewhat resembles a racetrack that goes all the way around the uni. So anyways the road was a little wet so i decided to act like a bit of a ****head. I went around this long sweeping right bend in forth (only doing about 60) and gradually was coming on boost. I thought to myself nah theres no way it will lose the ass at 65-70 in forth. Well it did and sent me out of control fishtailing just before the bend. I **** you all not i had the thing with the ass all over the place and was praying there would be no cars coming around the corner. Wrong, along comes this poor girl in an excel and i just looked at her face as i just missed collecting her. All in all i would have done about 6 2 lane fishies and the car wouldn't slow down. So i decided id brake cos there were no trees around and i didnt wanna hit anyone else plus i figured either way id end up in the ditch. So i locked up and slid around backwards into a ditch and stalled. I just sat there facing the wrong way in the ditch as cars passed, i couldnt move i was shaking so badly. Felt like a wanker ops: Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

When i first got the JET, even before she was the JET, i was coming home from trade school one day, and some old bird was doin 70 in a 100 zone, so i pulled her back to second and let it rip at 15 pounds, well fcuk me, i was all over the joint, being a single spinner it spun one wheel then both and it was weird, **** myself and slowed back to 100, drove home slowly Now i do it for fun!!!!

Worst experience was in my old n/a VL. Was cruising down a major road in Brisbane when I was approaching a set of lights. I knew the timing of these lights so I didnt slow down even though they were red at the time. Sure enough they turned green before I got there so I was still doing 70 (which was the speed). But the oncoming lane had just finished having a green arrow turn signal and this girl in a Barina thought she still had a green arrow and pulled out right in front of me with literally 10 meters to spare. Time honestly stood still during what must have been no more than 1 or 2 seconds. I remember slamming on the brakes (which locked up surprise surprise) adjusting myself in the seat, looking around at the people in my car and bending my elbows so I wouldn't break anything once we hit. Then we smashed into the car and time went back to normal speed - it was soooo freaky in hindsight. I got my adrenaline rush about 20 mintues later and went into shock on the side of the road - convulsing etc. I didnt drive a car again for the next 6 months cause I was just too scared of someone pulling out in front of me again. It was determined by the Police to be her fault. My car, her car were written off completely (was a huge hit) and I pushed her into a Mercedes sitting at the 'T' junction damaging it. Im fine now, back to my old self but yeah that shook me up pretty bad.

While Not in a Vl but in my fist car I owned a HG Kingswood. I was 18 at the time. Comin home with 600m to go coming round a sweeping bend in the wet and bald rear tyres I gave it a bit. arse slid out, over corrected side clipped a telegraph pole front first into a tree, knocked that over, took out a wheelie bin(it exploded) took out another tree which the car came to rest a top of. I was shaken but ok. The freaky thing though was that the guy who's house I had landed in front of told me that he had just put out the wheelie bin, turned, started walking up his drive way only to hear - screech and bang, he turned around to see me sitting in my car on top of what used to be his bin and upright trees. He saw the funny side of it though which was good as he was about 6ft away from the afterlife. The car made a full recovery!

Worst experience for me was jsut after I put my Minispool in the car, - had to chuck a u turn as I was following on of my mates, ended up doing a bloody 480 and still facing the right way after the completed u turn in mid day traffic, All I could see is my mate looking at me from his rear view shaking his head. so i had to pretend i meant to do it hehe -

not a "bad" experience so to say, but me and my mate were comin bak from the coast, and with 34km left to travel, we were just sick of it... so i punched the old n/a, sittin on nothin less than 150, we made it home in 7 minutes... top speed: 196km/h.... if anyone knows the road from nimmitabel to cooma, they will understand! so not really scary, but hittin one of the corners at 170km/h, and feeling the arse end shift a bit, i was gettin a bit scared!! cambz

Going to Echuca on night to see the Southern 80 ski race I was hammering along a bit of the highway at about 170k's when all of a sudden, with no warning signs, the road turned into gravel. It was right on a long sweeping right hander. The car drifted hardcore and then just 360'd for about 100m. We ended up in a ditch and had to be towed out by a tractor. Turns out the council was fined for having no warning signs at a road works site. DODGY FCUKS!!! I still have nightmares about it. Lucky there were no trees or poles right at that spot My VL recieved only scartched wheels and a broken exhaust :| :| Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

My scariest experience was.... my mate just put his new full spool diff in his VLT, we went for a cruise around the block to test it out (I was following behind in my own car), the road was wet and he decided to nail the throttle on worst road possible, bumps everywhere and slippery as hell. The back stepped out, not too much to start with then it went right out and what does he do? he pulls another gear!!! By this time he's heading straight for a telephone pole on the other side of the road, at the last minute he jams on the brakes and the car slides around and ends up on my side of the road with half the car in a ditch. He manages to drive out and takes off. I was ****ting myself, looked worse I think from behind. The worst thing was about the whole experience is that it didn't scare him the slightest! ****HEAD! My other mate who was in the passenger seat at the time was damm lucky to be alive!
