Lot's of petrol and a match....
seriously.. what motor has it got? is it an 8 (308 or 253) or the crapy 6?
if it's the 6 go with my first suggestion, if it's an 8, 253.. convert to 308 wont cost much.
if it's the 308... I hope you got money

go straight for the exhaust, and get SL/E bumper ends and the SL/E stripping, also try find the SL/E rear brake lights (it's just a little bit that attaches to the SL lights), lower it, take of all the badges and thats all you need to do and it will look and sound mean... :-)

Thank for that. would i be able to get the SL/E bumper ends from a wreckers?

Yeh the bumper ends arn't that hard to get it's the plastic stripping that is hard to buy.., some people put the VB/VC SL/E stripping on but it's very squarish, if you can't get the longer SL/E rear stripping just find another SL one (should oonly be a few bucks) and cut it up as neat as you can.
But if you got money to spend or the patience i'm sure you'll find one in the trading post or wreckers....
actually i might have some spare VH SL/E stuff at my shop, when i get a chance i'll have a look and let you know what i got.

Where abouts is your shop and whats it called? I'll have to check it out one day.

Sorry man i don't have any of the things you need, only a few motor bits, SL/E interioir pieces, and a few spare panels.
it's not exactly a car shop, we do plastic and fibreglass repairs, allot of stuff for taxi's like headlights and bumper's(because they can't drive).
My brother and i have sectioned off a small part of the factory and we fix our cars their and keep all our spare parts their.
If you ever see a Pure White VH SL/E in Melb SE (Oakleigh, Chaddy etc..) with plates 'SIRJON', thats my little brother, Give him a run and see how you go

Amen mate....
Anyway mate to get a VH lookin good, and sounding good, do what SirGeo here has said, basically get it lookin like an SL/E as much as you can then just go exhaust, extractors, and if ya want have a bit of fun with the engine.
Some bonnet mounted gauges and a Hornet bonnet scoop look quite nice on the VH's to.

Yeah, they're both illegal in most states too.
Yeah, dump it, nice rims, even just get some persuities chromed or powdercoated, fat tyres, SL/E exterior options, you'll be laughin mate... just pick up some extractors for 100 bucks out of the trading post and try score a twin system for cheap... tack on a pair of chrome tips at the ends, mmmm... that'll look choice.

Well in QLD you can have both, and as far as i know, in Melbourne its the same, with the exception of the gauges maybe. But the bonnet scoop can be there, as long as the highest point is no more than 120mm from the bonnet. Well thats what i've been told anyway.
