would be good if you had the money to do it- the supercharger could hold the turbo on some boost and you spool up instantaniously- but for the money you would spend - im only guessing it could be better spent on some other mods -
maybe im wrong tho

well as you know the supercharger is always on and the turbo needs to boost so what happens is the supercharger is working and when the turbo boost to is peak you get more power or something so i have been told i am not 100% sure..
I have not seen any VL with a turbo and a supercharger at all..
the only VL motor i have seen with a supercharger is the one that rod hattfield i think thats the right spelling from his rod shop in castlemaine has but yeah the kit he sales is $1800 here is the webpage...

to put a supercharger on you have to move 2 things the power steering and the air conditioning
Well if i had the money my N/A would be come a supercharged N/A motor

I'm not totally sure, but in a twincharged application, isn't the amount of boost available directly dependent on the supercharger itself?
I.E You can have a biggest turbo in the world, but if you're supercharger is only going to be able to flow 9psi then thats all thats going to be available unless you devise a system to switch off/bypass the supercharger once it has reached its peak.
Any twincharge gurus out there know if I'm on the right track or completely wrong?
Another thing I've heard is that twincharge applications produce alot more head than you're stand alone turbo or blower setup.
Actually, just did a quick search on the PF forums, and its a lot more messier than I thought.
Check it out .... very good info

And while your at it, another good one on twincharged applications

Trucks use twincharge stuff lots as they have massive turbos that takes ages to spool, so they use a SC to provide the extra torque they need down low until the turbo is on boost properly.

A trucks turbos take ages to spool, hahahaa trucks are on boost almost immediately, they rev to about 1500rpm and shift gear, they do that between 12 to 18 times depending on 'box
As for superchargers, there not on boost all the time, just like turbos they require time to 'spool' up, but not as much time... they run off the pulley system, which as you should all know speeds up when the engine speeds up. Meaning the supercharger starts off slow, and then peaks higher in the rev range....
