There's a HZ Holden ute running around near Sydney with a VL turbo engine, aftermarket intercooler and 5 speed box!
They handled quite well so it would be interesting to drive
What a sleeper!
Wants $9700 for it, bit steep.

I like seeing engine conversions but say you went to build up a drag car say a Gemini with a modified RB30et and only run a 12 then you will look like a bit of a ****head when the standard VL shells can run 11's to 10's easy without haveing to be lightened, even the lightened shells are running 9's and Vas's first into the 8's
I had a conversion project idea a while back by useing an early model Ford Capri fitted with an RB30et for drags and burnouts but the time, labour and money outweigh this idea far better to keep the engine in a VL Shell and still be able to have fun in it.
I've seen RB30's fitted into LC,J and LH,X Toranas, Mazda1300, TE Gemini, FC, HR, HQ Holdens, VC,VH Commodores and a Nissan Silvia. 8)
