Just to let you know what's happening... hehe [long story] When ozperformance was first started, we were sponsored by www.infodoma.com , so we got our hosting for free, which was great! And they were an excellent host. Now ozperformance has reached a size where they couldn't really keep hosting us for free which is understandable. So, a largish plan with yet another company has been purchased, which leads me to another story We are currently on the new server, and you may have noticed that the network is a bit dodgy (it's on burstnet), but to add some more to the weird **** going on, they'll be switching to a more stable network very soon, which may mean a small ammount of downtime again while the switch is done. www.ozperformance.net and www.vlforums.com shound work soon, the dns records are updateing which takes a couple of days - if people are having trouble with those addresses, they can use this instead: http://64.191.30.220/~ozp/ We've now got heaps of bandwidth, so there won't be any of those problems again at least  Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I thought DNS's updated in roughly about 8 hours depending on the number of requests for the location? By all means correct me if i'm wrong. At least we shouldn't have bandwidth issues for a while.

yep.. can take up to 72 hrs for the changes to be applied globally - depending on the dns server your isp uses, it may take a bit sooner or later than others. but 24 hrs is the norm.

i second that, if he spent the same money on the site as he does sms'ing people while hes drunk we'd have no problems here Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I'm not too worried about the down time, it is a hassel but like it has been stated in Dis-Enfranchised thread (http://www.ozperformance.net/viewtopic.php?t=9342) there is down time for all car nutters at one stage or another with regards to their pride and joy, well I see this as the same situation. We all love our OzPerformance Forums too much and when there is some down time we get irritated because we can't go cruising the net, instead we have to cruise the lacoal strip.. Disclaimer: Too much coffee creates warped views of reality! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
