i have just done a search on this subject and come up with nothing. i haverecently bought a Speco meter 3 & 3/4 inch tacho with inbuilt shift light. after reading through the instructions, it says to hook it up with the tachometer signal wire. is this the stray wire, in the engine bay, located just above the alternator? because i remember reading somewhere that i have to tap into the distributor and coil....not the signal wire. could you guys advise me which other wires to tap into to get power, and internal lights on the actual tacho. im right with engines, but as soon as it comes to electrics, im fuct!. anyways, your help is very much appreciated. any help is good help, so post away! thanx!

You could always just hook it up to the factory wires in the dash.

or just run a wire to the horizontal connector near the coil...
