Subs banned?

I've had it mentioned to me that "supposably" subwoofers will soon be banned in cars (in queensland at least). Is this true? I think its likely a hunk of #%$* but does anyone know anything about it?

Yeah man the new Caprice has 2 of them, the Mazda 6 has one, the XR6 has it.... it just means more people will be doing DIY custom boots to hide them.

I thought it would be a load of sh%t. Just wanted to see if anyone had heard anything, but i think its just people trying to get at me since i installed the first sub this week.

think about what you are saying here bud, a sub is a speaker, therefore they are banning speakers in cars?? no no and no
