hey, need help on deciding what clutch to go for. its to go into an rb25det gearbox. and one main problem of my setup is going to be traction. so i dont know what clutch to go for. i have heard alot but am still unsure. I want it to be able to handle around 250rwkw easily at the end of the day. dont really want to spend over $500. anyone got some advice. and a clutch that i could get, and where from. cheers p.s would prefer the clutch to be streetable but.....

youll have no luck looking for a decent clutch for under $500. i got mine from western clutches in st mary's nsw, top unit cost $800. 5 puck button clutch, nice pedal feel and still does third gear powerslides with a couple on board no prob's.

none that would hold that much hp. my car is making well over that figure and i bought the stock 5 puck clutch but then needed a rebuild cause it still wasnt enough.

eh, tough one. at the moment i only got around 170rwkw (but plan for more) going off what other guys have with the same mods have. but to replace a clutch requires the whole motor to be unbolted, as the box cant be unbolted. might have to pay that little bit extra for the long run.

what ?? unbolting engine, you just need to take off the starter motor, tailshaft, electrical connections to g/box, crossmember and 5 or 6 bolts to back of engine. i have done it in an hour and a half. now putting it back in is another story.

nah. rb25det in silvia. different story. top bolts are basically in the tunnel. no chance of getting to them with a rachet. cant get enough leverage, and cant really get a tool on the bolt to undo it. i have had to drop the whole K frame, to get the auto box off. bit of a bitch
