just read through "interior mods for ur vl" and thought i would ask if any other model commodore seats ( or any seats for that matter) would fit into a vl with out modifying the rails they sit on.. if not how much does it cost and where to go to get them made to suit? also has any one got the normal vl interiors re done with velour? if so now much>? what colour will go with the tan exec interior? just want to do the door cards and seats. cheers. jeffo

id say tan velour would go nicely mate um as for new rails , well its gonna cost me about $140 each to get my 180sx buckets put in , its a complete new fabrication of rails and mounts , thats why its dear. plus they need to be engineered (legally) and thats $80 more

i put VK calais leather seats in my car and the only mod i had to make was to the passanger seat. i had to angle grind one of the brackets off the bottom where it connects to the rail as the VL has a cat and the VK doesnt, but apart from that they fit straight in.

If your keen, you might wanna give those guy's a try that fitted out HSV interior's in car's like RAJAB and RUNNEI. I know they may not exactly be a direct fit to the standard rail's, but it might be worth investigating. Someone on here might be able to put down the business name im refering to.
