acrylic paint is cheaper and much more user friendly to a person that is not very experienced with spraypainting . 2 pac is best left to people who have used it before . vl commodores are painted in acrylic from factory so as a cheaper and easier way go for acrylic cheers

Acrylic uses thinners to evaporate and dry the paint. As said above user friendly cheap to buy but takes more time to achieve a gloss 2-Pack uses hardners to dry the paint and is best left to someone who knows how to paint gloss straight out of the gun, Also very expensive. You can paint 2-Pack over Acrylic but not Acrylic over 2-Pack. Can present a few problems if you do.

Acrylic looses it's shine over time as it is not a very hardy paint, where 2-pack stays shinny and is allot easier to clean. I'm sure if you ask people who have had their cars done in acrylic how often they have to get their cars cut 'n' polished they'd say very often where people with 2-pack (like my-self) have proably never had to cut their paint to bring back the shine, as it always looks like it just came out of the oven. But i suppose it all comes down to $$$. If you can afford it go 2-pack if you want a quick cheap job go Acrylic. P.S. if you are going a metalic colour most spray painters will tell you that the metalic flakes get absorbed into the Acrylic undercoat and it looks **** after a few months. If you are really struggling with your choice come down and see me i got an old bar that had half done in Acrylic and half done in 2-pak and i'll show you the difference.

You'll need roughly 3 litres to paint your car (coulor only) clear is extra dependent on how many coats. Acrylic dependent if metalic or straight colour will set ou back about $30-40 a litre 2pak about 80-100 a litre But with 2 pak you gonna spend about another $150-$200 on hardners and thinners. and probably extra $150 if you gonna get it done in an oven( a must for 2pak) Undercaot is roughly the same as the coulor maybe $10 cheaper a litre. P.S. these are just general prices i'm sure if you have a mate that does painting he can get it cheaper and probably has a favourite brand of paint. Just make sure you get the mix ratio when you purchase 2pak paint and hardners
