power steering dilema

ok, the engine bay doesn't leave a lot of room anymore with the bigger motor in it. And there are power steering lines going this way and that way. Its confusing, and i am lead to believe that the silvia had HICAS before, or some sort of speed sensative steering bull****. Cause i got this massive unit, which isn't gonna bolt to any part of the rack. So i have 2 options. 1- get lines made form scratch and hope that the power steering rack doesn't get 2 heavy or too light, due to the change in setup with the lines bypassing the unit which will be taken out. 2 take power steering out completely, get rid of the lines, and the pump. The just fill up the steering rack with fluid, so its not running dry, and block it off so no fluid can get out. Would this have any other adverse effects rather than making steering the car, much harder. WOuld having a relatively powerful car without power steering be a pain. How do guys with vl turbos, go without power steering, or do most have them. i cant put a non power steering rack in as i dont think silvias came with out power steering. Any help much appreciated, would ask the silvia guys but none really come across this problem.

u cant run a PS rack without a pump, it will be unuseable. see a PS specialist that can tell you if your rack can be used with a std RB pump with just the 2 lines as normal. I have redone my lines myself due to the std ones bursting because of long periods of high RPM, they are now teflon lined braided hose with alloy fittings etc, cost $220 all up. Speedflow can supply all bits needed.
