Hey all, Im sure this has been brought up 1000 times in this area but i need help in tuning all my audio gear. Ive just upgraded my head unit to a pioneer deh-6350 (ha, yeh ok so who cares about the name) anyway its got more features than a space shuttle... Anyway the dude that put it in fiddled with the amps and i just cant get the thing to sound as good as it should. I just wanna know about basic stuff like gain levels and what i should do to manually adjust the amps to sound the best. any help you guys can give me would really be appreciated! cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

rough guide... turn all equalisers to 0, all loudness to 0. Then turn amp gains to 0, then turn head unit to 3/4 volume. Then slowly up the gains with music playing until it sounds stressed, or even kind of distorting, then back off a touch. It should be sweet then.

in other words, turn your bass, treble, loud, fading etc on the headunit to 0 (default) turn gain all the way down on amp. Put some music on and put volume on headunit to 75% of the way and turn gain(s) up on amp(s) until distortion (bass starts going doochhshhsh instead of doof for example :P ) is heard than back the gain off a tad and leave it there.... make sense? no? Cheers, Chris
