I think he means the power cuts out not the sound.

what deck is it? how old is it? does the sound stop or the deck actually turn off?? 90 % of these problems are wiring hey , check all of your wires cheif, rewire it fully if possible, if it is still haivng these porbs and you are sure it isnt the wiring, go and se the place you purchased it from. cheers Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

hmmm sounds interesting, its not in the wiring to your headunit then, its in the wiring somewhere else, could be in the fuse box?? something could be shorting up under the dash there somewhere too?? hopefully you wont have to pull your dash apart and check all wiring

try running a new wire form thee battery with a 20 amp fuse between th battery and the head unit, also run a negative to th chasis somwhere to ensure you are getting a good earth. you may also put some rag tape or fome around the deck so it fits in tighter. hope this helps

1)I would test the deck whilst not driving, ie take out and move it around in your hands and see if it still cuts out, even try shaking it a little, that way you can eliminate the deck as the source, from here you can go anywhere, 2)but if its not the deck, try disconnecting all the speakers except one, leave it like this and take it for a drive again and if the cut outs stop its somewhere in the speaker wires, renew or test these individually, 3) If its not any of the above it most likely your power source, run a temporary set of power leads and take for a spin again an see if they stop the problem.

ok my battery is in the boot but i have a stud thats powered up in the engine bay were i took my contstand from thats all fine, all the wiring in the dash is all re done. although another prob i have with the speakers is the Drivers side speaker is louder than the passenger and this has been like this since i bought the car. i have tried 3 different sets of speakers and i have also tried 5 different radios with all the same probs, but lets get my first prob sorted first

this wont help but i can sympathize with u I have a head unit, pioneet DEH-1350 and it worked fine for a while and then started cutting out ova bumps etc. only for a sec then it would get power again. It did it quite rarely until it cut out for 20mins at a time then now it dont turn on nemore. I have checked all the wiring that is fine. Checking the deck on a friends car see if it is ****ed but apart from that good luck with the prob coz i need help too! Braiden a.k.a redvlboi Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I was merely trying to establish a procedure for finding out the problem, instead of going aimleeslly from one test to another they should be trying to do things so in a way that will allow them to eliminate possible sources of the problem one at a time. MRHELE I would not dismiss the other problem you are having with your stereo system as a possible source, chances are if you are having two problems with the same system, they are going to be related. um i fixed my problem completly, the earth wire was lose and losing it's conection ocassionally plus one of my speakers were shorting out on the car body at the same time. I guess any sensible person would have checked this first but yeh that was my prob. Braiden
