Hey All,
I have two options for a system for my car,
one is a Clarion DXZ 835 MP3 head deck, A set of Hertz (HSK165+KCX165) front splits and rear fills and an Audison 5.600 Amp.
The other is to use my current Alpine Head unit, connect it toa Clarion MP3 6 Stacker changer, add an Alpine V12 (450 model) 5 Channel amp, a set of Focal front splits and rear fills.
Anyone got any ideas to help me decide???
Cheers.

New option
Clarion 835MP MP3 head unit.
CDT Clasic CL-61 Front Splits
CDT Rear 6" Coax speakers
Alpine F450 Amp
Works out to just over 2250.
I vote for the first option also, I recon it would sound much nicer, and after owning a MP3 H/U I wouldn't bother again, not unless you are prepared to fix up all the track so they sound "the same"
Hey, Well currently I have 2 cars, the VP commodore has an Alpine cd player in it of which I can remove and place into the VL if i connect it to the alpine mp3 stacker. I am defenatly getting mp3 weither its in the stacker or just a HU. Currently I only drive the VL on the weekends and want a good sound system, and I know 2k would go far in performance but at the moment I am just restoring everything and getting it all fully serviced so it is as reliable as possible. After that I will start to do some small mods but I want to keep it as stock as possible at the moment eg no intercooler etc. And I love the look of the new Clarion 835 unit, the only problem it is $799. So i was trying to get the budget of max $2k but with the first option it will more like come to 2.5 after I have added the custom door pods and boot install.
