Im assuming all the moderators saw that topic and jumped straight in. dont worry this isnt a complaint, just a question about your powers. Ok so what powers do Mods have besides editing posts and locking threads? I am asking because on Wednesday 26th (I think, it was sometime this week) an absoloute wanker called vlcra-z got onto the boards and started to post like his life depended on it, trouble was he was the Uber ****e Stirrer and his posts reflected this. I thought he was making a rookie mistake at first until about 6 threads from him popped up all abusive and bandwidth wasting. Next thing, InsaneVL and about 2 other mods whose names I cant remember (I think Darkstar was one) jumped on and all of a sudden his posts were locked, then deleted and he never came back. So yeah, did the Mods nuke his ass or did Sin and Platnum drop the bomb on him? Depending on that answer I may have another question. cheers, pete.

I locked the 1st one i saw from vlcra-z, and deleted the rest - was following him round moving them one by one - i think i ended up "nuking" about 5 threads of his. But it was Sin who eventually banned him (mods dont have the ability to ban users, but Admin do)

I got another one If a topics LOCKED. No mods (only admin) should be able to open it back up again and have there lil say then lock it again, but i have seen that happen on countless occisions. If a topics locked it should stay locked, unless Admin want to remark.

yeah i agree with midz, i've noticed that too... it's like a big ner ner ner ner ner I'm a mod etc... rules i.e thread LOCKED should apply to them as well...

I agree here with jeff.. why should other moderators be able to voice their opinion when the thread is already locked. Just because they can get into it because they are a moderator shouldn't mean they should post their opinion there. I see it as those who posted after it had been locked must have taken offence to it.. Some mods cant see that people are getting pissed off with them of late. Ollie

i dont wanna start another thread about this but im interested to know how mods are selected. obviously the reason my88vl got mod status is coz i think he actually has a palm pilot so he can stay on the site 24/7. are there any other criteria for mod selection? ive just noticed some ppl i wouldnt expect becoming mods.

I posted this thread and turned my computer off. Next time I logged onto ozperformance, my name was green adn there was a PM from Sin saying he had made me a mod and to tell him if I didnt want to be one. I dont mind so I told him that and the rest is history. Is there a problem with that? :|
