I need to get my front guards lipped. Anyone know some good places in melbourne and some decent techniques they use/have? The rear have been tapped back without a problem, but the front scrape because the front is low. What suggestions do you have for lipping the front guards?

Ive never heard of the front that needs to be lipped. Ive seen 18's on the front of vl's that are low and they havent touched the front guards. What profile tyres are you running? do they only scrap when the steering is fully locked one way? cheers Costa Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

the front is low and stuff, scrapes when weight transfers to the outer wheel when turning. tyres are evident of this! I know they are some places that do it, but im not sure who or how much. They could be runing 18s, or higher but thats only due to the smaller offset. Im running walkinshwas with 45s i think

I've actually bent the guard out on a few occasions, and the guard has taken chunks out of the tyre This has also happened to a mate of mine as well, both of us running 17's with 45's. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Hey Costa, ill have a look how mine are done, there flat with the gaurd, ie it feels like a very thick blunt knife! I've never had a problem with tyres grabbing, where some of my mates have, inc you Dave! Its seems to pull the gaurd out and down hey?

Some guy's even take out the front guard liners for more clearance. Don't like your chances of lipping the front guards with out causing damage to the guard or requireing new paintwork.
