Just wondering what every ones opinion is on mini spools because im really thinking of getting one thanks. I got a quote for about $400 fully installed, am i getting robbed or is this good?. Is it true that axles can bend because of the mini spool? Thanks

It is when the centre of your diff is taken out and a mini spool put in which makes the axles lock to provide constant positive traction with both wheels = Alot of fun Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

what 'Joe' left out was that your wheel are constantly locked so you don't turn round corners but more like bounce/hop and you eat your tyres!! like they were $20 a pair. My brother had it on his VH, all i can say is if it was wet outside he could not keep his ass from sliding... it was fun to begin with but very very dangerous

mini spool is ****ing anoying on street daily driven car, ive been driveing with 1 for a while now, 1. u skid around every corner, causeing tyres to wear out 2. you damage your axle when going around corners as 1 wheel has pressure on it while the others trying to corner 3. it loosens alot of things on your car with great vibration 4. u loose it in the wet at a high speed and you can say good bye it is good for straight lines and thats it, im selling my spool soon as my lsd is recod

You can go wrong, its cheap fun yes but it will cost you in the long run. Maybe not in terms of crashing the car but in terms of axle replacement, broken diff centres and lets not forget the lovely little yellow stickers that will possibly sit on windscrenns from time to time. But hey other than that, go nuts.
