for anyone in bris who knows mt gravatt lookout last night in the wet a torana was drifting round one of the corners, his ass end managed to hit a vl head on crushed the front in and almost pushed it off the mountain, not a pretty sight but luckily no one was injured

This topic should be renamed "Absolute d!ckhead being an utter f*cktoss was acting so bloody stupid its not funny, and by gee, sh!t went down" The road up the mountain to the Mt Gravatt lookout is twisty and curvy, full of blind corners, and is damn tight. Drifting around blind corners is just bloody stupid. But at night time, in the wet?? What sort of moron was the guy driving the torana? Hope he gets f*cked on. Commiserations to the owner/passengers of the VL.

well about a month ago my vl got run into also by a torana, also the road there is not the best place to have an accident on, would have been a pain in the ass for the tow trucks to get in there

sure he was drifting deliberately? if it's as bad a road as you say (and wet) he might have just lost it :?:

Old gold has a point but then if i know Mt Gravatt lookout then this guy would no doubt have been doing it deliberatly.

Yeah Mt gravatt mt is one hell of a tight (small lane) twisty bitch of a mountain, coming up and goin down. Definately couldn't have two xf falcons passing eachother at the same time or there would me a guranteed collision. torana boy = fool. feel sorry for the dude in the vl there is a time and a place for dooooorifting and on wet slippery mountains, at night with a whopping big cliff on the side with no armco is not one of them. Yer pretty bloody stupid thing to do on that road. I had a close call there one night, coming down the mountain a lil too fast(not on purpose) at night saw a shadload of leaves on the bend ahead. Tried to slow down but ended up sliding and stopped just in time b4 fallin off the mountain. Scary ****, had to change me pants later me and her hahahahahha, anyways im a lot more careful when it comes to those kinda roads now.

lol this is so hipacrititcal, i admit what he was doing was stupid, but if it was the other way around, and it was the guy in the vl drifting and he hit a torana, then everyone would be like " ah **** man, thats unfortunate, maybe next time u'll look what ur doing". It was in a post about 1 month ago, someone said he was being an idiot and he crashed into someone, and someone said exactly "ah dam bro, next time hit the hand brake and whip the tail to avoid traffic on the other land". Its only cause the guy owns a Torana. lol its the truth, he proberly lost traction by accidently putting his foot on the throttle abit more. I know my step dad's SLR 5000 Torana has that much torque that from a standing start, just putting it into low gear, churps the back wheels. OLDGOLD's could be right, and myvl88 how do u know just because the location, means he was being an idiot.

Stews you're a twat... the reason my88vl knows is because a) look at that bogan torry, anyone with half a brain would not be driving it... and b) Mt Gravatt mountain is frequented by ****s who drive accordingly... the site is obviously owned by the torana dude... what a loser.... looks like he's not too great a doorifta !

Mt Gravatt Mountain is one of the worst roads in Brisbane. Pissy little single lane (close enough) goat track through bush up a small but decently sized mountain in the middle of Bris with a good drop down any side if you lose it. Is a good place to go to hae a looka t the city at night time, but it is frequented by mobile night clubs (usually in Lancers) playing Tupacs greatest hits and the like. Its very easy to get sideways in the wet without trying and most of the corners are blind hairpins. Having said that, the little carpark near the power exchange/telephone thing has soooo much oil residue on it you can go there anytime and pull off a summernats style burnout, if you really want to. I will admit Im guilty of doing that in my old VL in my youth. Fresh VL lives up there Im convinced. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
