I trial fitted the engine over the weekend - heres a couple of pics
The engine in the pics is my 'dummy' engine I'm using for trial fitting and manifold fabrication etc. Heres my real engine so far:
I've yet to finish some polishing etc... :?

..basically the complete driveline is being modified. As for suspension, I havent fully sorted it yet, I have CRS lowered stub axles for the front and VX Commodore discs and calipers to fit up to them - I may get some spindle extendors too which are supposed to help/improve bump camber. I have lowered springs in at the moment but not sure if they will be too low after the lowered stub axles go in? I will probably get all new springs anyhow.
The rear has a modified VN GroupA Borg Warner (4 pinion LSD), with shortened 28spline 9inch axles and DBA cross drilled/slotted rotors with VL calipers. I am yet to get to the rear suspension but have a guy lined up to look at it who has modified supension for many old holdens for use on the circuit. At the least I will be getting reset or new lowered leaf springs and an adjustable panhard rod with appropriate shocks all round and something to prevent axle tramp. A 4link rear end would be nice but out of the question at the moment - maybe one day?

23-04-03, 14:41 GMT+10#13 How come you chose to use N/A intake runners?
(not picking on you, just wondering?)
Looks good so far
Any idea how long till its finished?

23-04-03, 15:14 GMT+10#14 bluvlt - partly because I started with a normally aspirated engine and so already had them and also the longer runners should give more mid-low rpm power - shorter runners are better for top end/high rpm power. Seeing as though this wont be a pure race engine (I want it to be streetable as well) I'd prefer to make good mid range power than having it bouncing off the rev limiter all day long!
I dont know if it will make a lot difference in the end as both turbo and n/a runners arent that much different in length but its was less trouble for me to use the n/a runners anyhow.
How long till its finished? No idea!! Still a lot to do really - unfortunately its not just a engine transplant - the whole car needs to be modified upgraded and I'm doing most of it single handed - most of my mates are more interested in 'sucking the glass ****' than weilding a spanner - if you know what I mean
