Wots a worthy upgrade from a VL?

I really want to buy another car, so I can take my Calais turbo off the road and do a few things to it. Was wondering what most VL owners upgrade to or would want to upgrade to. I don't believe a non turbo car would cut it for me anymore so I've had few cars in mind. My list is as above.

Yeah an R33 Skyline seem's to be the choice upgrade for VL Turbo driver's as they offer similar characteristic's. They are essentially a modern day VL Turbo.

I'm thinking 4wd though. Traction would be awsome to have .... But wrxs seem issues with blowing gearboxes after hard use. R32 gts4 would be good as their not constant 4wd and can be reverted back to 2wd with the removal of a fuse. but their old ..... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Why not get a bunky? Then when you drive the VL it will feel faster, and you can spend more on it!

What about a blown VS Calais or something?? Probably cost ya a ****load less than a R33, and insurance will be cheaper.

what model r32's come with rb25det ? is it the gts25t ? Wouldn't mind one of them... don't like r33's. not fussed about 4wd either, would prefer rwd... Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

for how long are u keeping ur vl off the road for? y blow all that cash on a car u have added in ur poll when u can buy a datto or laser or some ****, then have heaps of cash left for woteva crazy mods u want to do to ur vl. or a better idea is that if you want to upgrade to a newer can, sell the vl and then buy the skyline or woteva and have cash to do that up?? seems to me mate that u are going backwards!

I'll pass on the eight dude ..... hmmm might save my money, can spend more on the VL then. I don't know though, atmo cars just don't have the same feel and excitment of a turbo car. JVL87, Late model R32 came with RB25DE - NOTE: non-turbo. All turbo had the RB20.

Yeah and it will drink twice the amount of fuel and deliver less power. Its the worst V6 setup. If you are going to supercharge it/keep it supercharged then rip off the O/E eaton blower and get something else.

Problem with that wrx gearbox is that alot of people can't drive, simple as that. They think 7000rpm clutch dumps are normal, the same reason they blow is the same reason u see alot of smashed wrx. Apart from there hard clutch they are easy and predictable to drive and contorl. They understeer (i get mixed up with o/steer but yeah i think its u/steer), and they keep on doing it b4 they lost it, but when u do lost it ur stuffed Watch how fast i can take this corner....... BRO :!: Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Like previously mentioned, why do a major spend on another car when you can buy a Daihatsu Handivan, put your plates on it, and cruise it every day paying $5 a month for petrol. Then you'll have all this money left to blow on the VL. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Would $5 of fuel fit in a handivan tank? haha.
