i know this is prob a stupid question that has prob already been answered, but
why does the exhaust whistle like a turbo on my mates VS V6 when he boots it....?
its happened since he put his new cat back system on, but it aint much bigger (cant remember size)
itz funny cause people keep on asking if itz turboed
my vl used to whistle thru first 2... sounded like spooling a tad... i noticed it more after the cold air intake... so its probably just the engine sucking air and with the cold air piping, i had drain holes in it, and possibly making a whistle.... i don't know but... but probably close to what it was :mrgreen:
Its the POD filter sucking air people thats what is whistling. not the Exhaust ! If can hear the POD sucking air on turbos and NAs Louder on Turbos.... :mrgreen:
thats what i was on about, the air filters sucking.... definately with a pod, but the panel filter setup with the cold air intake made that noise on mine... nevr the exhaust :mrgreen:
My R31 whistales as well but i found it to be the flange gastkit. I also found a small hole in my manifold which i think it prob is. it only does it after 3500rpm so it sounds like a turbo coming on boost so i hann't fixed it. :twisted: Why would i when i can rev with a spool :twisted:
well my mates VS has a K+N drop in filter, but no extracters. would no rear muffler have any thing to do with it
he had the filter b4 the exhaust, but it never did it until the exhaust went on
mines an NA VL and it whistles, but thats coz i have a turbo tip on the end, it fools people too, i got the thing for free, does anyone know how much they are and where to get them coz mine was given to me and my mate wants one
