I have VS V6 and i have had my Amps drain my battery i have bought new battery ,Alternator is ok ,would it be possibly the Starter motor??? Pls help Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

No no no.... check your alternator thoroughly man. I've had 2 alternators go from the same thing. Things to check - 1- check for any dirt or black marks around the regulator, its a little peice on the back that plugs in. 2- check the plug on the side of it is making a clean connection. 3- check the battery cable thoroughly right through from the alternator down through all the black piping to the battery terminal and also to the fuse box 4- make sure that when you attach the power wire for the amp to the battery terminal that it is done AFTER the battery cable to the alternator.

oh ok cool thanx dude I will do that either 2nite or tomorrow and i will let you know how i go... I have had alternator replaced already for a different prob ,but just makes loud ticking noise now :roll:

If in the event you have to replace an alternator, DO NOT buy a standard VS one, instead ask for a VX one. VS's and VT's had **** alternators in them... also if you want to save some money, replace it yourself. Not sure of how to do it let me know, i've done it a few times now and can have an old one off, power cable replaced and new one on with all the belts done in about 30 mins.

Thats cool mate. The VL will be good hopefully, i haven't actually swapped yet because we both had to do a couple of little things for safety certificates. The swap will be done around the 25th of this month.
