i know i have read this on here before, but i tried a search and i can't find it. anyway, how do you adjust the AFM? because i think my car is running rich because of a smell of petrol from the exhaust and exessive fuel consumption. is there anyway to tell if it is running rich?

You need a wide band 02 sensor and a screwdriver minimum. Take off the red/green button thing and theres an adjustment screw underneath. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

or the simple way is....disconnect the plug on the AFM...dig the covering plug out....using a multimeter adjust the resistance between pin 1 and 6 to 500 ohms (this is the spec given in Repco Autotec)...covering plug back in....plug the wiring plug back on and drive away. Mine is set to 500 ohms and has the cam advanced 1 tooth and I have acheived a best of 8.6 litres/100 km.

What's the Repco Autotec? Is it some sort of service manual for electrics in all the different cars, to save mechanics from having to have all the service manuals? Is it electronic? Is it available to us plebs? Sorry too many questions Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Quote: You need a wide band 02 sensor and a screwdriver minimum why can't you use the red/green flashing lights in the ECCS to determine if its running rich? http://imflame.ricetek.net/~darkhalf
