Well the fact that its a sony, your dog did you a favour.
Take the sony out and let the dog play with it, and replace your sub. Even a cheap Pioneer is better, JB HiFi have cheap Kicker EX104's and they hammer.

it would be better for you to hook your dog up to the amp, i mean it would put out better sound than a sony...

You could always use the old Sony as a dog bowl to... i mean you already know the dog likes it so why not... haha

yeah, buy a Kicker EX104. They're cheap, sound great, and will last well. Should be cheaper, or at least pretty close to the same price as repairing your Sony.

11-04-03, 17:13 GMT+10#10 come on now, it's not his fault he went with sony. Apart from a lack of true bass (because it's 10"), sony subs aren't that bad.
Ppl do buy worse.
Sony subs are quite punchy in comparison to alot of other "well known" brands that tend to be very muddy, although loud.
Oh, and don't go for pioneer subs either, who suggested that??
They are just as bad as their Sony counterparts, Pioneer subs may play deep to a point, but they are not very controlled - boomy anyone.
Best bet is to save at least $150, and rock on in to your closest car audio store and buy something you like the sound of.

11-04-03, 22:46 GMT+10#11 I got the Sony on special from Brisbane car sound for $79 so I thought why not ! The rest of my system is Alpine but I can't afford over $1000 for subs. Thanks for your help gang :?
