Hey Guys, Just wondered if anyone knew of any workshops in Brisbane (e.g. Bob Romano) that would do a cam and chip package. Websites for them would be great. Also does anyone know who fits Chiptorque here in Brisbane?

I want to know where in Bris you can go to get your head ported and polished.

Chiptorque can fit the cam and chip all in house. You'll have to go to the Gold Coast in Nerang however. Best part though if you get it dynoed is that Lachlan does the tuning there. Plus they use Surecam! I've used a mild cam and a big cam with Chiptorque chips, quite happy! Colin Lloyd of Headsense is in Coopers Plains, He's got a flow bench and an engine dyno and really knows what goes on in an engine. A bit pricey but you definately get what u pay for. Don't waste his time though! Best yet he has a VL racecar (although he's ditching that) and has won back to back track champion at Willowbank and holds the National record for G/Gas.

I go to Carindale Car Care on Winstanley Street Carindale. Richard Hoareau is the guy to ask for. Its a regular mechanics workshop but if they can help you they will. Ive found that the service there is always friendly but sometimes can be slow.

Yeah i'm talking more along the lines of cam, chip, and some head work like port and pollish. And before anyone says it... i am NO i'm not turboing it. yet.

So no-one knows where to get port + polish done in Bris?

I know a fellow but depend how far youwant to go. I think a Max port, polish and bench flow with graphs of before and after is around the 600 mark

vlt06 can you give me some details re your mate. also i heard that head sense dont do it unless its a dedicated race engine , no street use. lots of head shops are like that these days

Without a T3 hangin off the side Jay i can see 14's... i mean its already probably the fastest N/A on the site that i know of... A cam and chip will peel some time off the 15.9 then hopefully head work. Shouldn't be tooo hard.

Mate, Im going to get my N/A VL head ported and polished by JHH engineering in Woodridge, Brisbane - Phone (07) 3208 6274 and ask for John Hill. They charge the following: $660 RB30e Head $250 Cam exchange $400 Change-over and labour Grand Total $1310. He gaurantees approxiamately 160rwhp or 120rwkw as long as you have extractors with a 2/1/2inch system. If you have any questions just ask him and he will answer them.....he knows his stuff. Ok, For a top job on your heads, Give Shane Alex a call on 07 3283 8454. He is on the nothside of brisbane and is the gun when it comes to heads and performance engines. He does heads for Chiptorque, Redcliffe Dyno, flows Glen Seatons Heads etc, ect... He has worked on Top Fuelers for aprox 5 years and knows his ****. A walking bible on performance engines! Has done many of engines/heads that feature in many, many magazines. Very good bloke and no mucking around! His time is very valuable, so no time wasters!

Rob... Matts old car 86GMH (the car that most of the **** on jays car came from) did a 15.7 my friend. Mind you it was a 5 speed and i think Matt knew how to drive it. Peace out.
