Taking out rear taillights! Gents, I have noticed that to get the taillights out of the tailgate you first need to take the upper center bumper bar garnish off. There are these arrow clips holding it in from the inside, just below the taillight assembly. What is the best tool to use so as not to break these clips when removing it from the tailgate? Thanks, Joel

Dude you dont need to take back part of bumper off to get tail lights off,I assume you are talking aboyut sedan here?? Dude from inside boot just use 10mm socket wrench or open ender or ring spanner and taker 5 bolts off then in the centre plastic bit there is a phillips head screw that holds part of tail light in take it off and taillight assembly just will pop out I have taken my tail lights out without touching the bumber bar on my Dads Exec and also on my Calais Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Mate, I thought there were only 4 bolts holding the tailight assemply from the inside, one philips head srew holding the top of the taillight to the top side of the centre garnish and finally a small hex bolt holding the bottom of the taillight to the bottom side of the centre taillight garnish. Its the small hex bolt that I cant get at!! Thanks, Joel.

take our all the screws around the edges of the lights on the inside then two bolts/nuts going into the back of the garnish bit then both tail lights and the garnish will come out as one peice
