Hey guys, When i brought my new car i got a JVC headunit with it but the thing never played cds... the back of the cd player says: JVC cd receiver Model No. KD-SX950 I get the error eject disc or somethin like that everytime... i tried running a cd laser lens cleaner cd thru it... did nothing, i then pulled it apart trying to clean the laser lens.. still no go... was wondering if anyone knows anything about these head units... is it a common thing, can it be fixed... if so do ppl know of some places that do... and what sort of price am i looking at. I am only looking at putting the cd player in my brothers car.. or selling it off once its working... I have an alpine unit in the new car... cheers for any help -Mike

my old headunit was doing this, my laser was f*cked. wouldn't focus, couldnt read the cd. so i turfed it and got a new one

yeah i had a home stereo once and every couple of years the laser would die and it'd need to be replaced
