Does anyone know where i can go to find out how to get access to the speakers and stereo that are in a toyota tarago 85 model. may seem like stupid car to be doing this to but i am getting this car for free and don't have enough to get my vl that i want at the moment so the party bus will just have to do for a while.

Your best bet would be to grab a Gregories Manual for it.... or crank it and listen for where the crackling comes from.

Youd probably have to take the whole dash apart. if you do, remember which bolt goes where otherwise you will get rattles. Dont be ashamed of the Tarago man, just think how many pissed or stoned mates and chicks you can fit in there....mad fun

you have to lift the top of the dash off, then drop the bottom, get around the aircon and there is a security bracket (if its a stock headunit) you'll spend 2 hours getting it out or you can just rip it out (only ****ing the bracket if done carefully) then take note of the wires in the loom, and bingo your system is out...

Thanx guys i found a couple of screws behind the ash tray which held the housing of the radio in and once i removed that taking the radio was piss. now i'm finishing putting the new head unit in and building two boxes for the 6 x 9's in the back. all pioneer by the way the only way to go if i can be bothered i might get around to putting the old pioneer 6in speakers in the front somewhere. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
