hey i have a vn with a full aero kit minus the wing, resprayed in hothouse green with a gold pearl, full custom cream leather interior , 19 inch wheels and of course a stereo system. My problem is i am stuck with what to do engine wise currently all mechanicals are stock. My options so far are turbo the current engine , supercharge the current engine , drop a gen111 in ($$$- not sure ) or put a rb30et in it. Any ideas would be great, i am also unsure of prices for most of these options so help in that department would be much appreciated. I live in brisbane as well so if someone knows any workshops that are skilled in this type of work please let me know. Any help and ideas would be great -thanks

if its already a 6 the easiest woul be to use a sc v6 from out of an american buick its the same motor and only need a few mods to put it in theyre good for 175kw stock and you can get lots of bits to make them go better

In a really old Zoom magazine,Leon Vincenzi rebuilt a Holden V6 ,shaved the heads which gave the engine a compression ratio of 10:1 and reprogrammed the MEM-CAL which gave the engine a 60 per cent power increase. I have been in a VN HSV model V6 which had all internal mods done to the motor and I felt like I was being thrown into the boot through the back seat I was sitting on,it was really quick, I would say it had 200 Kw at the flywheel. Another avenue would be to look to C.A.P.A supercharging systems as I have seen a VS V6 ute fitted with one and it left my near standard VL 3 litre for dead when overtaking,I was giving the VL heaps too, then again a good Holden V6 would leave a standard N/A Rb30 for dead.
