OK people, I'm a little confused. I'm getting conflicting information comming from installers at different Brissy Car Sound joints, so I'll throw my question out here for ya... I currently have two amps. One is fused externally at 50 amps. The other is fused at the amp at 100 amps. Both are in my boot, right next to each other. I have one 2G cable running to my boot that splits to go to both amps. Will i need a 150 amp fuse up at my battery, the 50 amp external fuse for one amp on the power cable after the split, and the other amp has an internal fuse? here is a little pic of what i mean: (hope this works out!) .................................................. .........../-------(100A @ AMP) Battery ----(150A)-------------------------< .................................................. ...........\-------(50A)--- [AMP] At the moment, I only have my front end running, and this is what it looks like: .................................................. .........../--........(100A @ AMP) Battery ----(50A)--------------------------< .................................................. ...........\----------------- [AMP] Here, the 100A fused amp is not connected.

what??!! I'm only using a single 2awg cable! seriously though, how do you have yours fused JET-6? or do you use a separate power cable for each amp?

I have two circuit beakers, one 125A, and the other 150A, some times the 150 opens(im thinkin it maybe faulty),but i think it does it when they both amps peak at the same time when there hot(does it only about twice a year!) i have to upgrade it, but at the other end my amps have there own inbuilt fuses!

I think I'll use a pair of maxiblade fuses or a single ANL fuse... I can't decide.

Dont use maxiblade. ANL fuses are much better, due to better connection between fuse and fuse holder. Also i have heard bad things about Maxi blade. I also believe that the first diagram is correct. put a 150A ANL fuse at the battery, and have the 50A between the DB and amp. Theorectically i think there should also be a 100A fuse between the other amp and DB also but may not be necessary?? also what amp are you running that draws 100A??

Why dont you put your 150A at the battery then put a fused distribution block near the amp, then you can put the correct sizes for each amp, just a idea, and it would look neat to, also makes it easy to split the cable to two amps Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah sorry i'm with JET-6 on this one, i'd be running the 150A from the battery into a Stinger Pro fused distribution block. Keeps it neat and you can run whatever fuses you need.

Sounds neat, but I haven't been able to find any fuses for the distribution block above 40amps!
