I am gonna take it in for a tune soon and was wondering what I could do to get even better fuel economy. Is it just the 02 sensor that you need to replace to get better fuel econ? I have never replaced the 02 sensor so I was wondering if it would be worth it.. I can get around 12 litres/100kms now I was hoping to better it.

That fuel consumption sounds about right, I can only get below that on very long highway trips.

Yeah. My best was just under 12 I think. That was half highway half city. Do you think the 02 sensor thing is alright tho like worth the money?

It sounds like everything is okay, prolly not worth it.

what is the best way to test it, just clock your k's and then divide it by the L's you put in next time until full at the bowser?

Mine used to only get just over 300kms per tank. I got it fully serviced and tuned, ran optimax with injector cleaner through it a few times and now its pretty good on fuel. To test my kms/L I let the tank run really empty like so I'd only have a few more kms in her then put $10 in ( about 12/13 litres) then kept driving till it was really empty again then looked at the kms. I got 102 kms the first time (mostly city) then 114 kms the second time. ATM I have $25 in her and I'm up to 200 km mark and I recon I can get about another 60 kms out her easy.

14-02-03, 23:05 GMT+10#20 Just got my car serviced/tuned.
Had to get a new fan clutch, fuel filter and oil filter.
Before Service/tuning I was getting 450-500k's per tank
Now I am getting 600-700k's per tank.
I am not driving like a granma, I give it the workout it needs. lol
