Im going to be running in a 2 guage power cable from bat to the boot, where would you recommend to run it?? just under the carpet on the right of the car?? Thats my original idea but i thought it may stick up too much under the carpet?? OR could i run it down the right side of the centre piece????

put it close to the tail shaft hump but be sure to put your rcs away from the lead.

ive allready got rca's and an existing power cable run, rca's are on the far left of the vehicle, power is running on the far right (10G cable). It just fits along where it is but 2g wont fit there, so ill prolly go with running it near the tail shaft hump on the right side. But whats the easiest way to feed it under the carpet there?? just push it along from the front or rear and let it just slide through or do i have to take the seat out??.....

I don't know about the rest of you, but I decided against the idea of running wires under the carpet when I found out that the Carpet was stuck to Underlay which was stuck to the floor... :?

Not much help for 2ga probably, but I've got 4ga run thru my VL, did it on the right side, but not up at the edge where the other wiring is, down along the floor pan .. you cant see the buldge it makes with the carpet firmly attached back where it belongs. Catch is to preserve those clips that hold the carpet down so you can put em back ..

yeah no worries, i ran my 2g cable exactly where you did Lord-Data, bit of a bulge but not very noticable. I busted a couple of those clips but i have just used some spray adhesive to stick the carpet back, worked well

well, this post seems kind of useless, but i ran my 4g cable down the right hand side right next to my black strips. it still goes under the trim piece under the front seat belt! no bulge, nice and neat.

i found that the 2g was too big to run that way :?

28-01-03, 15:23 GMT+10#11 Look, if you have 2G wire or bigger, run it directly from the battery to the boot, under the car, and along the chassis rail. clamp it every 40cm or so with the right sized p clamps screwed or riveted to the rail and you should be fine. Make sure that it is the side of the rail where it joins the floor and not the bottom of the rail, this will stop it from getting ripped off over speed bumps and stuff.
I have done this and it is much easier then going through the firewall and under the dash, carpet, seats, etc.
