Well they are better than the Exa Turbo's. They are getting on in years, not that our VLs arent, but I have heard mixed reports about how well they handle power mods and also heard varying reports about their oil consumption. Some of them drink oil like a fish drinks water. All I can suggest to your brother is to ask around and form his own opinion from talking to others. The if he finds one, get the car gone over with a fine tooth comb. Good luck. 8)

thanks for that, he has no intrest in the exa as they look crap, he would go for a vl turbo but he really wants manual and something sporty, that wont blow his budget. the only bad news i have heard about them is the no traction when you add some power to these things, but maby a better suspention setup and good tyres would help him. are there any forums around for them??

ull have to boost them to at least 12psi to keep up with a stock vlt manual. Running any more boost than that I'd give it a month before problems kick in. Tell him the only thing hes gonna beat with one of those is a suzuki swift cino VLT's foreva Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

tell him to turbo a swift gti. you can get older ones cheap and they are as fast as the newer ones and you could turbo one pretty cheap if you did it yourself. with a good turbo setup they do 14's apparently.

I've got a ET pulsar as my "****ter" It's great to thrash around but slow... Got beaten by a n/a vl... But it's dead stock. Cooler going on soon. Main big problem is the gear boxes, they brake so treat them with care. And check the CV's aswell as they are expencive, turn full lock and acc, check they don't knock. They really don't handle that well either, better than a stock vl though. And respond well to cheap mods. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Saw an mpeg that one of my mates mates made with a web cam and lap top in his ET on the Gateway Motorway up Brisbane way. Went up to 200kph real fast apparantly it just kept going until they decided not to push it any further. Dunno much about the car except its being rebuilt nearly every couple of months cause he races it at willoughbank all the time. They h00t like h3ll.

A mate of mine had an ET pulsar that the rigoli brothers built on the Gold Coast, it had engine with forgies, microtech, huge cooler, WRX sti roller bearing turbo sitting on a custom manifold, surge tank with bigger fuel pumps, 1 tonne clutch etc. No **** he drove it down to VIC and stayed with me for a week and i'm telling you now he didn't lose a race all week, this thing was running 22psi and we raced a vl that did 11.7 at calder and we blew it by 2 car lenghts, for sure this was rolling along not standing start but this thng had loads of power but yes he went through heaps of gearboxes and clutches but they can go hard, if they were rwd they would be mad.
