I can imagine it would be be very easy, just time consuming, providing that you kept the EFI wiring seperate from the rest of the car as all that powers the computer & pump are 2 relays & fuses, with the aid of a diagram just seperate say the VL's accessory section from the EFI wiring then only wire the EFI section into the car, just go by the K.I.S.S rule and you shoudn't go wrong, unless you do a car with air conditioning then things start getting complicated as idle speed in the VL's is altered once the air conditioning is switched on through the climate control,it is also connected up to the computer.

Best bet would be buy a gregorys or Max Ellerys Manual, that way you get all the wiring diagrams split up into section (EFI, Lighting etc) aswell as servicing/repairing instrustions, get both if you can cause some info in each one of them is better than the other (I think that makes sense) Kiss = Keep It Simple Stupid Also if your thinking of making it a turbo you would probly be better off doing it from the start, only have to get it "engineered" once, dont have to stip the motor (change pistons, cam, oil pump, water lines etc) , dont have to get stronger gearbox (manual or auto) It would cost alot more to make it a turbo first off, because your gonna have to get bigger brakes, turbo diff, turbo gearbox etc, but you should save alot of maoney in the loong run (cause you wont have to upgrade everything you have already changed) (Im saying all this asuming that you are actualy getting an engineers certificate) Good Luck Brendan

all sounds pretty good it has hx brakes all round so that should stop it and a chevy 10 bolt diff that should do the trick ive been told that the turbo motor is no different internally to a non turbo it was just a bolt on set up from factory but havnt realy looked in to it at all after fitting the chassie kit there shouldnt be any probs with rego but they always find somthing to pick you up on but at this stage i will just cruise it untill they work it out that its not a grey motor thanks again dave

Internaly the turbo motor has different (low compression) pistons, differnt cam and bigger oil pump.

Externally it has different injectors, different computer, different intake manifold (and of couse exhaust manifold) slightly different wiring loom etc etc. If you are getting an engineers cert. I doubt HX Brakes will be big enuough (to make them happy, with a turbo anyway)

The man you want to speak to, who has done it all before is HOLD64. The dude has a twin turbo RB30 and he gets away with 'classic' car insurance rates.. the *******..
