Ha guys Just wondering I have heard that the standard computer can run a couple of different injectors ( larger one's ) I have fuel problems. Need a cost effective way to sort this out.... Does anyone currently run standard computer with bigger injectors?? Cheers Everyone

better off running a microfueller (xtra injector setup) if you are on a budget

You can modify the ecu to run bigger injectors, see chiptouque or someone like that to write you a chip. I think the best way would be to go for a Microtech MT-4 fuel only computer, it piggy backs off your standard ecu and can run extra injectors of bigger ones, I have seen a VL make 330rwhp with this setup with only a hiflow and cooler. Think they are only like 500- 600 dollars.

give Maztech in Melbourne a call or Bresciani in Campbellfield. Talk to John at Bresciani or Johnny, really nice guy's. saw a vl set up like this at their workshop few weeks ago with two extra injectors running of the MT-4 which still enables you to run you standard ecu, it's just piggy-backed of it, this car made 307rwhp with only hiflow, cooler, exhust on 18psi.

when you increase the injector sinze - you need to increase the pulse width setting in the computer see http://imflame.ricetek.net/~darkhalf under ECCS (VL commy same as R31) it has been done on an RB20, and im looking into doing this on an RB30 once I find the K constant. do it for much cheaper than $600 once i find it so people here reckon increasing injectors and increasing fuel squirt is worth it on RB30E?

You can have it done quite easily via a chip in your existing ECU. Had mine running 20psi with Bosh 024's happily. Personally, I don't recommend Chiptorque after several previous experiences, but there are plenty of other mobs around. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

You can run bigger injectors with the RB30et computer, as long as they are the same type and you get the ECU retuned (chip rewriten). As mentioned places like chiptorque etc can do this easily.

Whats an approximate cost of getting a turbo ECU retuned? - Does this usually involve dyno - tuning?

Don't know about the cost anymore. Getting a dyno tune is far better than a send away and return method. Mind you, the dyno tune is a little more money but far more worth it.

RB30ET/E15ET injectors 250cc 48HP RB30E injectors 200cc 40HP so you need to change the K constant by 200/250 = 0.8 in the software for the VLT injectors.... or you can pay someone i've got the maps/ROMs on my site. Just need to find the K constant location in the ROM http://imflame.ricetek.net/~darkhalf
