If you advance it to 20 degrees BTDC (standard is 15) and run it on premium, you will find a noticeable difference in the preformance. I did it to mine and it goes a bit harder.

No the exhaust wont make any adjustments to the timing NEEDED, but i'd dare say u'd want to. the more power the merrier I run 25 degrees BTDC on my N/a and run Ultimate (98 octane). The only time the car pings is on a 40+ degree day when the foot is to the floor. which I dont do any more. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

25 degrees, **** ay!!! does it make a hell of alot of difference, cos i ran mine on 20 degrees and its noticeably quicker, but do u have to run it on premium or is that just an extra bit of power?? cheers tonguey

hey guys, just wondering where i can go to get this timing advance thing done as i don't have a timing light. also, does it make the car rev higher at idle?

As you advance the timing the car will rev higher at idle but you can readjust the idle speed when you are finished.

Make sure the computer diagnostic screw is full counter clockwise then at the back of the inlet manifold disconnect the electrical plug that plugs into the AAC valve then turn the screw on the IAA unit (I forgotten which way) until it is roughly 650 RPM then re connect the the plug, the revs should now be roughly 750 RPM.
