I bought my car with a pretty busted, loose antenna and i'd had enough and went and bought a new VL one for $17 Now ive followed all the instructions, but the aerial just seems to 'drop down' through the hole and does not pull itself down into the body to tension itself so that it cant be pulled out from the outside.. How exaclty does it secure itself? i cant see any bolts or anything down on the bottom of the antenna to attach itself to the body. At the moment, it is just sitting in there, and im using the antenna cable's tension to keep it from jumping out everytime i hit a speedbump Any ideas appreciated!

there is a nut that tightens the antenna into the antenna housing but thats all it does - it doesnt tighten inself to the body. Im really stuck for ideas, because my antenna just hangs there at the moment, and i need to find out how to secure it.

should be a piece that goes undernearth the guard, and a piece that goes on top of the guard (sits down in it) then the antenna just pulls those together and is tightened with that nut..... if u can understand that :S
