Assuming an otherwise functional (NA) engine, with higher octane fuel, advancing the timing 5-10 degrees can help out a lot .. especially with a few other tunings .. we all know this .. however, if that engine then runs LPG, what happens? I understand LPG has a much higher octane rating than any petrol readily available, but wouldnt advancing the timing bring on the likly hood of backfires/ignition of the fuel in the intake manifold? Anyone tried this?
