The All Holden Day car show is on again in Melbourne. This year it is on at Sandown and is on Monday 27th Jan which is the Australia Day Public Holiday. I'll be down there so come and say hi if you see me if you really want. I will be parked next to a red HDT Nitron "HDTTBO".

Me and some workmates decided to go there during my work break and the turn out was excellent. Lotsa schmick older cars like the F and E series, and the HK and HQ Monaros which was one of the highlights for me, right thru to the VY SS (yawn). All the VL's there were 8's : HDT LE's, a few Brock GRP A's and two hot Walkys (one with a beaut loud rumble that set off a nearby car alarm ). The best looking VL would have to be the Brock Signature Series Grp 3. The owner said she only drives it to shows and meets. I don't blame her considering the car is that rare and in concourse condition. Seeing one of those beasts on the road was something of an urban myth, so I was wrapt to finally see one. Was disappointing not to see any VLT entrants though. Only a couple of nice ones in the car park. Why they weren't entrants is beyond me.. Prolly sprung doing doughies before the show I have a few pics which I'll try to post soon Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I have about 30 pics of the Holden Day event but only 4 of vl's and they're not much chop - such is the blandness of the range there (except for the group 3 and that's only the rear shot too) That and the fact that I'm a tard photog ops: I was just too caught up with the other hot rides there. I'll PM ya about the pics Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I went yesterday and thought the show was a bit of a let down but for $7 it's not too bad, I saw quiet a few nice VL's in the carpark, but there was only one VL turbo entered in the show and that was a red "NITRON" turbo, fairly standard looking. I don't think the real hardcore Holden fanatics appreciate VL's because of the Japanese sourced engine and the fact that they kick V8 butt when in turbocharged mode. There was a nice VL "Walkinshaw" wagon on display, but many VL's were V8's which does'nt really intrest me. I was looking out for your car Sin, but obviously you could not make it, there was a nice red VL LE but I forgot what build number it was you may of knew the car.
