Hi all,im asking u guys on behalf of a mate.He has got a red 308(HQ-HZ model) engine that he wants to put into his VK calais. He has already changed the sump to a red commodore sump from a VB but he thinks the engine still wont fit properly or doesn't seem to.Anyone got any ideas wot else needs to be change on the red motor to make it fit?(he still has some stuff off the old black motor) and the motor is a trimatic bolt pattern and has been changed to electronic ignition. Thankx Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

The bracket for aircon/power steering can be a pain, but if he is budget and has none of them, all should be ok, may have some vaccum/polution gear problems..

Arr yer also the manifolds/heads arent interchangeable. The VK-VL style has polution gear, before has none. So you are stuck with manifolds/heads only fitting their own.

..are you sure its legal? You cant fit an engine thats older than the model of the car its going into.
