can you take the turbo of a VL turbo and put it on a N/A VL? or would you be better off to just get a wrecked VL turbo and take the engine out of it ? or get a an RB25DET or RB26DET? or just supercharge the N/A 6 that is already in my car. :?:

I think you'll get shot down for this one .. its been covered a 100 times or more .. generally, its not worth doing .. but it can be done for heaps of money. Series II blocks are more suited to the conversion too I believe .. keep in mind if considering the turbo route (arnt we all? that you'd need to upgrade more than just your engine, to handle the extra power .. boosting a non factory turbo is never the same as having an orginal Curiuos about the supercharging idea tho .. has that ever been done to a RB30? Possible at all? I guess in theory it might be .. Weld up mount points, rig it into the belts somehow perhaps .. dunno .. Might be tricky to engineer maybe? so you reckon either buy a VLT or buy a wrecked VLT and put engine/drive line into my VL?

Yep, exactly. I've been looking at this situation ever since I bought my NA Vl .. Everyone with an NA wants to turbo it .. but its way cheaper and more reliable to either just buy a factory turbo car, or swap over driveline parts. but for reference, search and browse these forums dude .. the admins dont like you asking questions that have been asked heaps before, so go do some searching .. theres plenty of threads on why you would/woudlnt wanna do it this way .. Its a LOT more than just bolting a turbo on.
