I'm looking at buying a smaller car. I was originally after a N/A VL, but have changed my mind. I am looking at an 85 Laser that's for sale. I figured, cheap to run, cheap to buy and i won't have to give a **** about it. Plus, i'll run it for two years and buy something with power once i'm off my p's. Anyways, i still want some power at my disposal, or at least make the car sound nice. What would i need to do? I'm planning on adding an exhaust system to the car, but i'm not sure which would look ok and do the job. Anyone suggest a good exhaust and tip that would suit this sort of car? Also, anyone in Melbourne suggest a good place to get the job done? Prices etc. Also, i know that power steering can be placed into a car, but who does it and how much does it cost. Cheers.

Ok i will prolly get hassled about this from many people but dont even bother with a 4 cylinder FWD for a number of reasons. 1. You cant have fun with it in the wet because they handle terrible eg. turning a corner a little too fast and the front just slides. 2. Dont put an exhaust on it coz whatever is done to a 4 cylinder it will never sound good or beefy, it will just drone and look and sound really stupid and rediculous, nothing gets my blook boiling more than seeing a 4 cylinder with an exhaust that makes the car sound terrible and will give no performance gain. 3. If you are out cruzing the only people you could pick up would be guys coz its a chick car. 4. Get a commodore coz they really aint that bad on fuel, i had a 4 cylinder and i had to flaw it to get anywhere, now i got a 6 cylinder and i dont have to flaw it to get as much power so therefore i dont use anymore fuel!

I think he just wants something kinda modern and cheap to drive. FWD + Wet road + Handbrake = FUN!

dont waste your money. if its just a car to get around until you get a better car then leave it as that. it will always be a ****ter no matter how big the fart can. imo anyway.

(vlt's)
