The VN was undoubtably the worst model commodore Holden ever put their name on. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

where's the VL option?? I'd buy a VN over a VH - approx 2.4 times more comfortable While still being way faster. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Im with Platinum on this one. VH a classic, what a joke! The VN's are alot more advanced than the old VH dunnydore, more powerful, reliable and economical. Sure VN's were put together like a dogs brekfast but compared to VH, a 5spd VN V6 (or V8 for that matter) would be alot better as a first car. I wouldnt go so far as to say that the VN's were the 'worst' Commodore, considering it was the first Commodore to adopt the V6 engine. Go for a VN 5spd V6 or V8 they both hammer, however if you really want to get a classic that will get up and boogie get a VL turbo.

my first car was a VH and i sold it and brought a 5 speed VN. then selling that for a VL turbo then selling that for a vs ss ute. heh.. yeah but anyway i loved my VH it was just a good car to cruise around in, it wasnt fast and it wasnt slow, in my opinion the first car a person buys shouldnt be that powerful, because inexperience is the cause of most car accidents. A VH with a good paint job and nice wheels with a 253 is a sweet car.. dont listen to what we say anyway, its gunna be your car man.. u make the choice. andrew

Nothing wrong with how the VP looks, but yeah if you are considering a VN/VP must go for atleast a VN series II, and you are probably better off with a V8 as you are less likely to encounter problems
